Tropical Touchdown Punch Recipe

Ingredients:

Alcoholic Versions

• ½ cup white rum or vodka

• 4 cups Libby’s pineapple juice

• 1 bag Simple Truth Organic Frozen Pineapple Chunk, 10 oz.

• 1 bottle Prosecco or Sparkling wine, 750 mL, chilled

Nonalcoholic version

• 1 bottle lemon-lime soda, 1 liter

• 4 cups Libby’d pineapple juice

• 1 bag Simple Truth Organic Frozen Pineapple Chunk, 10 oz.

Optional: Pineapple “Footballs”:

• 1 Pineapple(s), Whole

• 1 Can Brown Spray Paint

• 1 Roll of white duct tape or masking tape (1/2” thick)

• 1 Plastic Bag

• 1 Tarp or cardboard

Directions:

1. Combine the pineapple juice and either the ingredients for the alcoholic or non-alcoholic version of the punch. Stir to combine. Add the frozen pineapple in lieu of ice to keep chilled.

3. Cover the top of each pineapple (the leaves) with the plastic bag and secure.

4. Spray the fruit of each pineapple with brown spray paint outside and over a tarp or large piece of cardboard. This may take a few coats to cover thoroughly. Wait until the paint is dry before applying another coat.

5. When the paint is done to your liking, remove the plastic bag and apply the white tape to replicate the lacing on a football.
